MET Schools of Management orgainsed a session on ‘Career Options in HR’ by Ms. Aparna Sharma, Director HR, UCB (India) Pvt. Ltd. on Feb.4, 2010. She addressed on the struggle and status of HR professionals in the corporate world. She also defined and distinguished between the HRM (Human Resource Management) and HRD (Human Resource Development). Ms. Aparna Sharma narrated her real life experiences and suggested the growth path with various options in HR related careers for students aspiring to become HR professionals. She spoke of the respect and acclaim that is now bestowed upon these professionals and how today they even participate in management policy making. She cited examples of top HR professionals who are now the CEOs and the COOs of large organizations of great repute. |
