MET Institute of Computer Science organised and hosted ‘Tech@MET’ a one of its kind Intercollegiate Technical Fest on 8 & 9 February 2008. It was an annual festival for several MCA and MSc (CS/IT) colleges. Hundreds of students across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai participated. The theme for this year was ‘Universe’.
There were brilliant quizzes, informative debates, coding and debugging, advertising, fun games, amazing animatronics, web designing, presentations and many more. The unique attraction for the event was LAN gaming with variations, playing with numbers - sudoku and war of DJs.
Sunil G Karve, Founder Trustee and Vice Chairman – MET, Dr. S Mahajan, Principal – MET ICS along with
Prof. Dr. D B Phatak, Head IT Department - IIT Mumbai and Prof. Dr. H Pradhan, Dean - Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education inaugurated the Tech@MET festival. The seminar featured IT Gurus like N Navghare – Asian School of Cyber Laws (Pune), R Vaishnav – Nasscom and B Bhavani, Director - MIEL e-Security Pvt. Ltd.
Tech@MET has a rotating trophy to the college who wins maximum prizes. This year Late Bhausaheb Hiray Smarnika Samiti Trust received the honour.
