MET IMM Principal in the Right League
Shamali Gupta, Principal, MET Institute of Mass Media attended the National Seminar on "Social Change and Development in India: Humanities and Social Sciences" organized by Centre for Social Change and Development, in collaboration with the Gandhi and Peace Study Center, School of Social Science, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The participating speakers were Prof. D. Gopal, Director of SOSS, IGNOU, eminent poet and philosopher Chandra Bhan Prasad, eminent historian and Dean - Humanities, Delhi University, Prof. Aditya Mukherjee, Dean Humanities, Jamia Milia Islamia, Prof. M. Asaduddin. Shamali Gupta concluded the session with the overview and critical assessment on the Role of Media in bringing about social change and development. The highlight of the event was the launch of the book "Literature and Social Change: Emerging perspectives in Dalit Literature" in which Shamali Gupta has contributed a chapter "Exploring Marginalized Men and Women in Hindi Cinema". Shamali has also been appointed as the Co-ordinator of the West Zone for activities to be conducted by the Centre for Social Change, IGNOU.
