Real World: Real Professionals at MET IMM


MET Institute of Mass Media is always striving to train the students for the media world and its ground realities. In order to take them close to the real world MET IMM pioneered a unique platform – MET Synergy, where Human Resource professionals from renowned media organizations like Sony Music Entertainment, Radio City, Zenith Optimedia, Fountainhead Entertainment & DDB Mudra Group participated. MET Synergy 2014 - the industry interface, aimed at giving the ADMM students - 1st hand guidelines on how they need to prepare themselves for career opportunities. The entire event was conducted by the senior batch of mass communication postgraduates. The forum open with a formal presentation on ‘ADMM Life Cycle’.  This was followed by two expressions, presented by students, highlighting the domain selection related dilemma’s of young media aspirants at large.  The student performances concluded in to a panel discussion on ‘Dynamics in Media Hiring’.  The discussion enlightened the students with insights on the essence of handling caliber competitions- fresh V/S experienced profiles, online portfolios, expectations ‘from and of’ an organisation, how do fresh postgraduates pitch themselves for opportunities and  the base trends of the hiring cultures of organizations across media verticals.   

The panelists well appreciated the gesture of organizing the HR initiative and left the students with a newer approach towards their upcoming professional life.
