Case Studies in Corporate Strategy


Mr. Ashank Desai – Founder, Mastek Ltd was at MET on November 01, 2014 for a book launch titled ‘Case studies in Corporate Strategy’ in the presence of Prof. Vijay Page, Director General, MT IOM, distinguished guests from industry, faculty and students of MET Schools of Management. This book is authored by Prof. Jairaj Kochavara along with Prof. Dileep Saptarshi. The book traces the stories of ten Indian Companies which started out as small ventures and have grown into large corporations. They cover a wide spectrum of industry; including steel, pharmaceuticals, alternate energy (engineering), information technology, FMCG, packaging, sugar, cut flower and, Food and Beverages.

Main features of the book:

• Covers Outstanding Indian companies
• Includes online video interviews of the CEOs
• Provides the user with current corporate data
• Explains various innovative strategies for success

Prof. Jairaj Kochavara, who is a gold medallist from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Personnel Management, has served the industry for over 30 years as an HR professional in bluechip MNCs like Johnson & Johnson, Cyanamid, Siemens and other Indian companies. Having functioned as General Manager - HR for about 8 years, Prof. Kochavara is presently Associate Professor in HR and General Management at MET for the past 10 years. He is also a qualified trainer from the Indian Society for Training and Development. Congratulations to the authors and loads of happy reading.
