India is rapidly emerging as one of the most promising economy in terms of growth in the service sector especially Information Technology and IT based BPO, KPO and other allied sectors. India is the frontrunner in the world's IT arena. India with a huge base of quality manpower who are well educated, fluent in English, highly talented in engineering, accounting, software and other skills, dominates the current world scenario. Majority of the top IT companies along with other sectoral biggies have setup bases in India and those who have not are in the process of doing so. It seems as if the world is coming to India or one can say India is becoming the world itself.

In line with the Industrial Revolution, the Information Technology Revolution has taken the whole world. Once again the country is heading to have a tryst with destiny. Our destiny now depends on how well we respond to this Information Technology boom, which has changed the face of the world.

Since the time immemorial, it is the need of the hour to move towards the light shown to us by luminescence of Information Technology.

The IT industry in India is growing at a tremendous pace. The young and talented IT professionals are making India's presence strongly felt in the global IT scenario.

NASSCOM Strategic Review states that industry responded with maturity on all counts, pitching in to take on these challenges. India remains the core component of global sourcing strategies and India base service delivery continues to expand in scope and scale. Direct employment in the sector is expected to cross 2 million this year. IT adoption in the domestic market is growing rapidly, supporting the evolution of the sector and its growing role in the economy.

Also, Mr. Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM has said, “The Indian IT industry has been rapidly evolving; growth is on track to achieve, if not exceed the targets for 2010. The trends are interesting and findings indicate that the domestic market is poised for growth with IT spends trending upwards, particularly by the Government. We also see an increasing level of specialisation within the industry both in IT services and BPO, exhibiting signs of a rapidly maturing industry. However, there are global macro economic challenges; talent, manpower and infrastructure issues will need to be addressed and resolved, collectively”.

At MET ISDR we have taken an initiative for a mission of developing the trained and employable IT professionals. We are committed to deliver quality education to the IT industry aspirants. And are always leading, keeping pace with changing career trends with single motto of providing world class IT education in the right setting and environment with personalised attention from faculty and staff.
