MRVís Environment Crusaders

MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students who are well known for their environment sensitive outlook crusaded to curb the pollution during festivities. They invented a unique way of communicating this important message by planning apt street plays.

On 14th September 2013 MRV students of Grades V to VIII got together and organised the street plays titled "Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi". The central theme of the street play was to spread an awareness on the harmful effects of plastic, thermocol and plaster of Paris (POP) and they also highlighted the ill effects of noise pollution during the Ganesh Festival. The students conducted these street plays in the Ganesh mandals set up in and around Bandra. The street play was aired on the local cable channels. The studentsí act was well received with a very positive feedback. Indeed the children can teach us a lesson or two.
