58th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress:
Though proud of its academic talent, the college lays great emphasis on extracurricular activities. And this year as the IPA celebrated the 58th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, the students and faculty left no stone unturned to ensure the event was a grand success. MET volunteered in various happenings at the IPC, in the presence of Dr.U.B.Hadkar, Dr. (Mrs.) Abha Doshi & other faculty members. Again MET played a pivotal role in putting for the Culture Night, hosted by its student Sneha Ramaswamy, followed by the energetic dance, pulsating instrumental, the sensuous Fashion Show & a performance by Jaydeep Kolape who entertained the audience with his wits & whims. Melroy Miranda, a final year student was given the opportunity of delivering his paper on ‘Applications of Heat Shock Proteins' at the 58th IPC. Nishit Shah and Vivek Jaria of final year and third year were also given the opportunity of presenting posters on the topics 'Nutriogenomics' and 'Proteomics' respectively.
MET Fun Fiesta:
To add a spunk factor to the routine college schedule, the Students' Council organized the Traditional day, Chocolate & Friendship day, Twin day, Saree & Tie Day and Denim day, which were all celebrated with zeal, enthusiasm & togetherness.
MET Utsav
The only time when the complete MET League of Colleges gets down to some serious business, proudly presenting its grandeur. Involving various cultural and sports activities, interspersed with expedient workshops. Dazzling the crowd by performing the inaugural dance, 'Ganesh Stuti', a component of 'Bharat Natyam', was none other than our very own, Saloni Munshi (S.Y.B.Pharm.). Who says there's only one Kailash Kher? We have one right here at the IOP, Varun Doshi (S.Y.B.Pharm.), who mesmerised the crowd with his version of “Teri Deewani.” MET IOP made its presence felt by a live instrumental performance by its very own band, 'Zauq' comprising of Manish Venkatachalapathy (Final Y.B.Pharm.) on the keyboard, Soumya Remesh (T.Y.B.Pharm.) on the flute, Sushant Sadamate (T.Y.B.Pharm.) on the base guitar, Amod Athavale (T.Y.B.Pharm.) on the electric guitar and last but not the least Mayur Pawar (Final Y.B.Pharm.) handling the percussions with extreme passion. Also setting the crowd thumping was the stick banging, 'dholak' rolling performance by the students at MET IOP, as they performed the 'Maria Nritya', a traditional dance, right out of Madhya Pradesh.
