The MET Institute of Pharmacy was established in the year 1993 with the two-year Diploma programme in Pharmacy (D. Pharm.) recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education. The four-year Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) affiliated to the Mumbai University was started in the year 1994. The MET IOP is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

The Institute pursues the philosophy of perpetual acquisition of knowledge. Apart from academic curriculum, our policy has been to provide value based education and to expose the hidden potential in the students. Our students have free access to the computer facilities and are provided with LCD projector in the class room for their seminar presentation. Our aim is not to make the students mere job-seekers but to make them the architects of their future.

Over the years, several distinction holders and University toppers have graduated from our institute. Our students not only excel academics but they have been champions at various cultural and sports competitions. The average result each year is above 90%. Our alumni are doing us proud all over the globe by being leaders in their choice of vocation.

MET Institute of Pharmacy aims to achieve its vision by:

1. Imparting quality education and training the students in the field of pharmaceutical sciences through competent staff and supporting infrastructure.
2. Working towards the all-round development of the students.
3. Enabling students to make ethical and valuable contributions in diverse facets of pharmacy and social welfare, thus improving the quality of life.

PEO 1: To equip our graduates with sound knowledge in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences making them technically competent in areas of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology.
PEO 2: Using a multi-disciplinary approach inculcate values of team work, strong communication skills, analytical skills and problem solving ability; for a highly productive career in Pharmaceutical industry, Pharmaceutical Management, sales and marketing, clinical research and other fields after graduation.
PEO 3: To encourage and enable our graduates to pursue higher education by instilling lifelong learning and research aptitude in addition to core competencies.
PEO 4: To train the students to contribute towards the pharma sector in an ethical manner for the betterment of society and work towards sustainable development.

PO1: Knowledge: Ability to comprehend and apply the knowledge of core and allied subjects to the practice of the pharmacy profession.
PO2: Planning Ability: Effectively plan to manage resources, develop strategies for completing pharma projects or assignments within the given time frame.
PO3: Problem Analysis: Ability to identify, analyse and use critical thinking to solve problems related to the pharmaceutical industry and related fields.
PO4: Modern tool usage: Learn to select and use appropriate methods/ lab equipments/ instruments/ computer applications used in the pharmaceutical field.
PO5: Leadership skills: Develop leadership skills and ability to work individually as well as part of a team towards fulfilment of professional and societal responsibilities.
PO6: Professional Identity: Understand, analyse and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).
PO7: Pharmaceutical Ethics: Inculcate an ethical approach in execution of various facets of pharmacy and take responsibility for the outcomes.
PO8: Communication skills: Communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO9: Pharmacist and Society: Encourage the students to contribute towards the betterment of the society by conducting awareness campaigns about the causes and/or prevention of diseases/disorders. Apply informed reasoning to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.
PO10: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional pharmacy solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO11: Lifelong learning: Commit to a lifelong quest for knowledge in diverse pharmaceutical domains.
