Dr. Mike Munday – Director of MSc in Drug Delivery and Dr. Simon Gaisford - a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics visited MET League of Colleges for an interactive session with staff, faculty and students. They shed light on the latest developments in the field of Pharmaceutics and also discussed the novel method for producing amorphous drug delivery systems. Dr. Mike Munday said, “It is possible to ‘print’ drug delivery systems using a modified thermal ink jet printer. This allows the production of particles with aerodynamic particle sizes suitable for inhalation; the system can be used to prepare particles by spray-free-dying or by solvent evaporation. In addition, it is possible to print liposome and drug-loaded liposomal system”.
On this occasion students were also guided with the important information regarding the various post graduate courses offered at the University of London and gave inputs on pharma academic and career prospects in England. |
