MET Institute of Pharmacy's Annual Day & Alumni Meet

MET-IOP celebrated their Annual Day and Alumni Meet celebrated on February 17, 2007. The two-day event was coloured with cultural events like skit, folk dance, western dance, fusion dance followed by the formal function.
The formal function started with invocation song by our student, Rucha Jogalekar.
The dignitaries including the MET Trustees Sunil G Karve and Pankaj Bhujbal and Shefali Bhujbal lighted the lamp. At the beginning of the formal function a one-minute silence was observed to pay homage to Dr. R.S. Baichwal, an eminent personality in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who passed away on December 31, 2006. In his speech Director Dr. Hadkar congratulated the university topper Akshata Shetty (TY B Pharm.) and Mihir Shah who was the topper at FY B Pharm, University Exam. Dr. U B Hadkar - Director, MET Institute of Pharmacy, urged the students to read the life history of those who turned the negative aspects of their lives into positive opportunities. He asked the students to read the life history of Vir Savarkar & Michael Faraday and Lokmanya Tilak. Dr. Abha Doshi Principal, MET-IOP congratulated the teachers for their hard work and welcomed alumni who were present for the function. S D Bhosale, Principal MET-IOP (Diploma) praised the students for their active participation in the cultural programme.

The prizes were given away at the hands of the Trustees and other dignitaries like Prof. Vijay Page, Director General - MET IOM, J G Irani, Director - MET MARCOM, Brig. M K Nag, Director - MET AMDC.
