Mela times at MET
As part of the 2 Decades Celebration, MET League of Colleges held MET MELA on March 18, 2009 at the MET grounds. This event was well attended by over 2500 students, academicians, staff and corporates. Lighting of the traditional lamp by Trustee – MET, marked the inauguration of the MET Mela. This set the mood for the excitement to follow. Captivating dances on Rajasthan, Gujarat and Malvan backed by folk music items were performed by MET staff and students.
Over 40 stalls serving food, offering entertainment and selling merchandise were a super hit with the crowd till the conclusion of the event. Gaming stalls offered games which appealed to people from 6 to 60. On one hand you had LAN and console games where as on the other hand games like mini golf, darting, shooting etc thrilled all. For the foodies it was the indulgence day - Chinese, Thai, Mexican, South Indian, Gujarati cuisines to name a few.
Mauj masti, khana peena, fun and games, whopping shopping made MET Mela a grand success. All METizens across hierarchy and levels bonded to celebrate the 2 decades of MET.
Sale proceeds from select stalls are being donated to the social initiatives at the Waliv village where MET is already working on tribal welfare.
Cheers! To the spirit of celebrations and social cause at MET.
