Mumbai Educational Trust - Founder Chairman and Honorable Minister, Government of Maharahtra - Shri Chhagan Bhujbal, had organised a grand unveiling ceremony of the statues of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Shrimati Savitribai Phule at the hands of His Excellency Honorable Governor of Maharashtra Shri. K Shankarnarayanan, on Novemeber 21, 2010 at the MET Atrium. Ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Rajan M Welukar, Vice Chancellor – University of Mumbai, Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee – MET, Samir Bhujbal, Trustee – MET, Prof. Vijay Page, Director General – MET IOM and senior members of faculty and staff. Shri Chhagan Bhujbal, Founder Chairman – MET took Shri. K Shankarnarayanan, Governor of Maharashtra, on a walk though across the campus showcasing MET. The world class infrastructure and hi tech facilities at MET left a lasting impression on the Governor and other dignitaries present.
