Book Marking METs

Two Management Students of MET received a prize at the hands of Mr. Nandan Nilekani, for emerging victorious in the Book Review Competition organised by IES, Mumbai in the presence of Mr. Adhi Godrej, Chairman – Godrej Group

Students from the MET Schools of Management participated at the Inter-collegiate ‘Book Review Competition’ on the book ‘Imagining India’ by Mr. Nandan Nilekani. Forum of Free Enterprise had organised this event at the IES College of Management, Mumbai on 23rd October 2009. Top leading B-Schools - IES, Rizvi, MET, Dalmiya, SNDT, Welingkar participated in this competition. Each team was given a topic to share their views on. The presentation duration was 30 min for each group followed by the ‘Q&A’ session. MET management students Foram Gosran & Rohit Vaswani won the 2nd runner-up award.      

The prize distribution was arranged at Y. B. Chavan Centre, Mumbai on 29th October, 2009. It was the 43rd A. D. Shroff memorial lecture to be delivered by Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman, Unique Identification Authority of India on ‘Identity markets and social welfare’. Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman – Godrej Group presided the event.  It was a great opportunity to meet distinguished personalities. The book ‘Imagining India’ is an eye opener as it explores various avenues of untapped India. It clearly identifies how we can improve our country in all sections with IT as our biggest strength.
