Business Innovators @ MET!

MET hosted AIMA’s 38th N C Y M (National Competition for Young Managers) with the theme “Unleashing Innovation across the value chain – mantra for growth” was organized on 27th & 28th July, 2012.  This competition is designed to provide young managers, a platform to hone their knowledge and test their business acumen.  Besides exposure and learnings, the competition offers opportunities for a sense of achievement and recognition with prizes and awards. 

The MET League of Colleges joined hands with AIMA for this mega event on the academic partner and the venue host.  Mr. V. Ganapathy, Chief Executive Officer, Micro Technologies India Ltd. was the Chief Guest, Mr. Pankaj C. Bhujbal, Hon. Secretary, MET gave the host remarks. Mr. Ramakrishnan, President BMA, Prof. Vijay Page, Director General, MET Institute of Management and Dr. S. Tandon welcomed the dignitaries and participants at the Inaugural function on 27th July, 2012.

Over 200 teams of management professionals from the who’s who of India’s corporate organizations participated in the contest. The competition was judged by a panel of eminent personalities comprising Ms. Bhuvana Subramaniam, Ms. Nirmala Mehendale, Prof. Ketna Mehta and Dr. Krishna Saxena. The team from Aditya Birla Group was declared the winner and the first runner-up team from Gabriel India Ltd. (Anand Group) followed by Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions.

Speaking on the occasion of the Valedictory function held on 28th July, 2012, the Guest of Honor, Mr. Suresh Mhatre, Vice-President, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., remarked that the extent of innovation in this competition was of extremely high quality.  Mr. Kamal Singh, Director - CMD, All India Management Association addressed the gathering and declared the results and Mr. V. Sarangapani from BMA gave the Vote of thanks. The two days of the event were full of exhilaration and great learning.
