From Dalal Street to MET!

As part of the 2 Decades Celebrations and being an NGO, MET League of Colleges in association with the Consumer Guidance Society of India - CGSI (SEBI recognised investor association) conducted workshop on ‘Investor Awareness and Protection Programme (IAPP) – Kuber Model’. This event was well attended by MET staff, faculty and students and was a marvellous learning experience. This event focused to identify and reach out to the average investors, both potential and existing, who are aspiring for participating in buying and selling of shares, bonds and other securities, including government papers, so as to deliver to them the fundamentals of balanced investments protocol, ensuring complete coverage of present and future risks, while familiarising them with their duties, responsibilities, obligations as prudent investors, as well as their rights as regards wealth creation and protection.

This MET – CGSI (SEBI) workshop consisted of four modules covering:
      1. The Financial Market: A challenge to youth investors,
          opportunities and threats.
      2. Fundamental basics of stock market.
      3. Essential qualities of a prudent investor.
      4. Handling investor grievances regarding stock market investment.
