FUTURE LEADERS AT MET
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG MANAGERS: 37th NCYM - 2011
The All India Management Association (AIMA) has been annually organising the National Competition for Young Managers. For the 5th consecutive year, MET Institute of Management was an academic partner and venue host for the AIMA-BOSCH: 37th National Competition for Young Managers on the 22nd - 23rd, July 2011, titled ‘Building Sustainable Indian Multinationals: An Agenda for Action’. The competition provides a unique platform to young managers to exhibit their talent and leadership skills.
Mr. Kamal Singh, Director & CMD - AIMA welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr. Wilton Henriques, Company Secretary General Council & Global Head – HR Crompton Greaves Ltd. at the inaugural function. Mr. Kamal Singh also welcomed the delegates at the Valedictory function Mr. Atul Agarwal, Vice President, (Corporate Affairs), Tata Services Ltd.
40 teams participated in the event with more than 150 corporate in the western region round of this competition. The competition was judged by a panel of eminent personalities comprising of Ms. Ketna Mehta, Associate Dean- Research Centre Management Scientist, Ubique Consultancy, Mr. Sushil Joshi, Head (Sales & Mktg Org) - Tata Motors Ltd., Mr. Ravindra P Waghmare, Head HR, Corporate Relations & Placements - Oriental Institute of Management, Mr. Ashish Kaul, Head Mktg. - ICICI Securities.
The team from NTPC, Vindhyachal, Madhya Pradesh was declared the winners and the runner up team was from A T E Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. Both were awarded a trophy by AIMA and also felicitated by MET. The two days of the event were full of excitement, knowledge sharing and great learning for one and all. Fifteen student volunteers from MET were given a token of appreciation by AIMA at the hands of Mr. Kamal Singh during the event.
