International Association of Trichologists (IAT) - World Hair Conference 2008 was convened in Asia for the first time and MET League of Colleges, Mumbai had the honour to host it on November 15, 2008. At his address while inaugurating the conference, Chief Guest CA. Sunil G. Karve, Founder Trustee and Vice Chairman – MET League of Colleges highlighted, “MET-Richfeel Institute of Trichology has contributed over 20% trichologists to this sunrise industry across the world. We believe in order to face and successfully overcome future uncertainties, it is important to consistently create and masterfully integrate knowledge of this discipline. This forum has been launched with the intent to provide platform to the trichologists, doctors, research scientists and beauticians to discuss and share latest developments and new findings in hair and scalp care. Trichology is one discipline which combines the study of science with beauty which needs to be recognized world over for human benefit. It is a moment of pride to inaugurate this Conference and present to you the pioneers and world leaders in the field of Trichology.”

During this conference varied topics on Trichology ranging from medicine, science, research, cosmetics, hair care etc. were discussed and findings were presented to draw up the practical implications and its useful applications into the future.  

This conference was well attended by dignitaries from USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Asian countries and covered talks by prominent tricho experts on pertinent subjects.
