MET faculty Prof. Preeti Shirodkar, was presented with the ‘Indira Gandhi Women Achiever’s Award’ by the India International Friendship Society, New Delhi, on November 26, 2010 for her outstanding and consistent performance as an academician and her immense contribution to the field of education for the past 18 years, to add to the nation’s progress. The award was presented by Mr. Bhisham Narayan Singh, Former Governor of Tamil Nadu and the North Eastern States and Ms. Derborah Marak, The First Woman Deputy Chief Minister of the State of Meghalaya.
Ms. Preeti Shirodkar was among the 25 individuals, who were selected as winners of the award from across the country. She was awarded a Certificate of Honour and a trophy.
