MET management student Jayant Desai from Operations stream won a national level summer project competition ‘Summers 2009’. It was an inter-collegiate paper presentation competition organised by Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune (PUMBA).  The objective behind the event was orienting the first year students about the different specialisations and the type of projects they had worked during their summer internships. This year over 15 papers were presented for the operations specialisation separately. Leading B-Schools from across India took part in this event like JBIMS, KJS, Rizvi, NITIE, MIT (Pune) etc. and the participants had presented their paper based on their summer projects. Four entries were short-listed from among the initial screening of the synopsis and the report received from the interested participants from different institutes. MET (Mumbai) won the title of ‘Value Stream Analysis’ against NITIE.
