As a part of MET’s two decades celebrations, MET hosted MET Rocks a musical medley of bollywood and rock concert on November 07, 2009 at the MET complex. Playing the medleys of the latest and most popular hit rock and bollywood songs this concert marked the celebration of the spirit of togetherness and belonging amongst the MET students, staff, teachers and other faculty.
The ambience of the concert was conceptually superb, designed to the International standard. The concert started off with videos of international rock bands. The first live performance of the evening from one of the most famous bands - Night Stand, which starred Sarosh Izedyar one of India’s best leading guitarists, who played many numbers of global fame. The crowd were humming and grooving to their tunes, Says Sarosh, “We were skeptical of the tastes of the MET crowd but it was amazing to see the audience enjoy the songs.” Sarosh who currently plays guitar for singer Shaan ended on a high note, saying , “We would like to come once again to MET”. For the audience it was never enough, Anju Anand a student said, “There should have been more English songs to hum on”.
