Future Leaders @ MET - 2010

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has been annually organising the National Competition for Young Managers. The competition provides a unique platform to young managers to exhibit their talent and leadership skills. MET League of Colleges was the academic partner and venue host for the AIMA’s 36th National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM) Competition on ‘Managing Organizational & Management Challenges in India’ on July 16 & 17, 2010 at the MET Convention Centre.

Mr Gladwyn Pinto - Executive Director - BMA welcomed the dignitaries and Prof. Vijay Page, Director-General - MET IOM delivered the inaugural speech. Dr. Ritu Anand - HR Head - TCS was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function. Mr. Andrew Harding, Executive Director CIMA who especially flew down from UK addressed the gathering during the function.

Mr. Kamal Singh, Director & CMD - AIMA welcomed the delegates at the Valedictory function. Dr. Rakesh Pandey, President - Retail and Business Development - Raymonds Ltd. was the Chief Guest for the event.

38 teams participated in the event with more than 120 corporate in the western region round of this competition. The competition was judged by a panel of eminent personalities comprising of Mr. Girish M. Bhat, Director & Assurance Global Audit - Cadbury, Mr. Chandan Dasgupta, Associate Dean MBA Program - NMIMS, and Mr. Sushil Joshi, Head Commercial Human Resources - Tata Motors Limited.

The team from Robert Bosch was declared the winners and the runner up team was from NTPC. Both were awarded a trophy by AIMA and also felicitated by MET. The two days of the event were full of excitement, knowledge sharing and great learning for one and all. Fifteen student volunteers from MET were given a token of appreciation by AIMA at the hands of Mr. Kamal Singh during the event.
