MET Sports Meet

As a part of MET’s 2 Decades celebrations, MET League of Colleges held its Annual Sports Meet on October 14, 2009. The event was inaugurated by CA. Sunil G Karve, Founder Trustee and Vice Chairman – MET, by releasing the MET Annual Sports Meet banner attached to the air balloons. The event was kicked off with great anticipation of fun filled sports action all day long. Right from the trustees, directors, senior staff to the students from the respective institutes took part in the action packed day with great ado and lots of expectations. There were indoor and outdoor sports like box cricket, football, tennis, chess, throw ball, volleyball, throwball, basketball, football, chess, table tennis, long tennis, 100 meters running race, short & long jump for boys and girls.

Out of the participation in tens of hundreds of METizens, 225 winners and runners up were awarded with gold and silver medal and certificates. A smiling Sharad Kutty says, “It’s great fun and can’t wait to go out on the field.” Sports events had its fare share of surprises as well as excitement. The winners had their smiles all over their face while the losing team was gutted but more determined than ever before to make a strong come back next year. Salute to the sportsmanship spirit of MET.
