MET Celebrates 2 Decades
Celebrations are in order at the MET League of Colleges. Founded in 1989, it has gone from strength to strength, and now has 12 institutes that offer career making post graduate programmes. Ranked the 13th best B School in South Asia by Asia Inc. - a leading Singapore based magazine, MET has also been conferred a special consultative status as an NGO by the United Nations (ECOSOC), no less!
MET students visit the UN every year as interns and are proving their mettle in A list organizations across the world.
Says Sunil G. Karve, Founder, the MET League of Colleges, “We believe the biggest and most profound learning we have given our students has been the lessons they have imbibed outside the syllabus. Lessons in life management. The importance of values. The strength of an upright character. The ability to make a difference. Education that no university gives you. Yet, in the ultimate analysis, the only qualifications that set you apart.”
This is, probably, what makes MET students razor sharp. So, they leave their mark wherever they go. As professionals. And as human beings.
On the auspicious occasion of 20th year annual celebrations, MET League of Colleges has announced various social, cultural and academic events. Each event will bring in a new festivity every month. This anniversary year started with specially designed for the 2 decades celebration - diary, calendar, brochure etc. Events like MET emote, adoption of tribal Waliv village have already concluded. For the rest of the year MET will unfold a series of festivities like classical music performance, mela - display of talents and sale of merchandise, showcase of student films + celebrity guest lectures, vaccination drive, intra-MET competition-arts, photography, painting and rock music live performance etc. The 2 Decades Celebrations will culminate by December 2009 at a grand finale function at the MET complex.
