At the Women Achievers Awards 3.0 2026 hosted by MET Institute of Management in collaboration with Secret Sauce, with Union Bank of India as the event partner, powered by Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance and Senco Gold & Diamonds with lifestyle partner HYUE, Smt. Vishakha P. Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative at Mumbai Educational Trust, was honoured with the Women Achiever Award in recognition of her visionary leadership, creativity, and steadfast commitment to social purpose, inclusivity, and empowerment.
A distinguished social impact leader, educationist, painter, and changemaker, Smt. Bhujbal has been instrumental in celebrating and promoting the rich heritage of Warli artists and their traditional craft. Through her initiatives, she has consistently worked towards preserving indigenous art forms while enhancing the visibility and livelihood opportunities of traditional artisans.
She has also played a pioneering role through the Janaki Bhujbal Trust in empowering women and advancing community development initiatives. Through the Yeola Kalakari Kendra initiative, she has contributed significantly to revitalising the renowned Paithani weaving tradition, often referred to as the “Queen of Silks of Maharashtra,” thereby preserving a valuable cultural legacy while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans.
The award and felicitation were presented by Anu Chaudhuri Ghosh, Head Marketing at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance, and Chetna Pandey, General Manager Analytics and CRM at Union Bank of India and ACC Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. The dignitaries congratulated Smt. Bhujbal for her significant contributions to social development, women’s empowerment, and the preservation of Maharashtra’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
