Guru Purnima celebration

Guru Purnima

The term 'Gu' in Guru stands for darkness and 'Ru' means removal of darkness thus, a guru is someone who removes all darkness from our lives. People in India celebrate the ‘Guru Purnima’ festival by paying their respect to their spiritual leaders. It is celebrated on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Ashadha, which is from June to July.
This year, Guru Purnima was celebrated on July 13. The students of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) celebrated this year's Guru Purnima by gifting goodie bags and gifts to the principal, all the faculty and non-teaching staff as a token of respect.
