A five day Online International Student Development Program (ISDP) on ‘Pharmaceutical Education & Research: A Medley’ was hosted by MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) from 22nd to 26th July. The ISDP included a wide range of keynote presentations by ace pharma and health science researchers from India, Germany, US besides renowned academicians enriching the learning of students by presenting latest findings and statistical data in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Apart from sessions encompassing myriad aspects of pharmacy education & research, the ISDP included a grand poster competition on the topic ‘Strategies in COVID 19 Testing and Therapeutics’. The program received an overwhelming response with around 600 participants from all over India and 48 entries for the poster competition.

The multifaceted International Student Development Program featured a panel of distinguished speakers like Dr. Khalid Kamal, Chair and Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy - West Virginia University School of Pharmacy, Dr. Anita Nair, Regulatory expert in Regulatory Management - Merck KGaA, Germany, Prof. Prashant Kharkar - Professor, Institute of Chemical Technology, Dr. Swati Patil, Associate Professor - Prin. K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Dr. Vaishali Dixit, Associate Professor - Bombay College of Pharmacy, Dr. Kalyani Asgaonkar, Assistant Professor - AISSMS college of Pharmacy, Dr. Mrinal Sanaye, Associate Professor - Prin K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Dr. Varsha Pradhan, Visiting Associate Professor - Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research University, Dr. Arati Prabhu, Associate Professor - SVKM’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy and Ms. Pallavi Kamath, Assistant Manager - SIRO Clinpharm Pvt. Ltd. The sessions consisted of topics ranging from Scientific Writing, Latest trends in Clinical Trials, Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery to Role of Patents and Medical Writing. Five days were extremely beneficial for hundreds of students who keenly harnessed the wisdom of presenting stalwarts from industry and academia.
