MET Institute of Management organised the induction launchpad programme 'AAROHAN 2022' from 1st December 2022 to 3rd December 2022. The event was marked by traditional lamp lighting in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, guests, faculty members and the joining MMS students of 2022 batch.

Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM welcomed the students to their journey with MET and set the tone for the event. The students also took a pledge to embark on the professional journey and truly becoming METizens.

At the inaugural, the Chief guest Mr. Josy Paul, Chairman, BBDO shared the challenges one faces while making a name for oneself in the field of advertising and marketing. He inspired students by citing real life examples from his own professional journey. The event's Guest of Honour Ms. Rupa Naik, Executive Director, World Trade Center shared her professional journey of reaching the position of Executive Director. To become a trailblazer in life, she emphasised the value of asking essential questions at the right moment. Mr. Harjeet Khanduja, Senior Vice President (HR), Reliance Jio shared his success mantra in a whimsical way, ‘Have an attitude with aptitude’. He exposed the students to various choices they would have and the decisions that would need to be taken.

On the second day, the guest of honour Mr. Sandeep Runwal, Managing Director, Runwal Group shared pearls of wisdom with the incoming MMS students. Lessons from his lifelong journey were imparted by Mr. Runwal as he talked about knowledge and networking as two essential elements of both professional and personal success. He emphasised that the presence of interruptions in every part of life is a significant barrier to performance and an incentive to improve. Mr. Chandan Agarwal, Global CMI Director – Personal Care, Unilever gave guidance to the newly enrolled MMS class on failing and being willing to take chances. He discussed his career experience, the ups and downs he encountered, to encourage and inspire the students. Dr. Anil Kumar Misra, Chief HRO, Reliance JioMart gave the students his perspective as a specialist in human resources. He described the process by which information is changed into skill and then attitude as the cornerstone of both personal and professional success.

On the third day, MET Institute of Management was privileged to have the Guest of Honour, Mr. Motilal Oswal, Founder, Chairman & MD, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. In the interaction with the new batch of MMS students, Mr. Oswal shared an important lesson he learned in his life, ’Learn more to earn more’. He shared his life’s journey compartmentalised into 3 parts i.e Personal, Professional and Investment. From the conversation, students acquired life lessons i.e alignment of strengths and passion. On the other hand Mr. Shubha Vilas Das, Author, Storyteller & Motivational Speaker explained the concept of self-motivation for managers through contemporary learnings from Indian ethos. He helped the students examine the concept of self-satisfaction through the lenses of pure knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer.

The Induction program was a great start for the new enthusiastic students of MMS 2022 at MET that allowed them an opportunity to interact with top notch entrepreneurs & leading professionals for the industry.
