An activity-based learning session on “Analyzing Tweets using Pre-Processing Concepts of NLP” was conducted by Prof. Chetna Achar for MET ICS students.
The activity introduced students to essential Natural Language Processing (NLP) pre-processing techniques used for cleaning and preparing text data. MCA sudents worked with real Twitter data and applied steps such as tokenization, stop-word removal, stemming and lemmatization to understand how raw text is transformed into structured data for analysis. The hands-on activity helped students connect theoretical NLP concepts with practical implementation.
The session enhanced their understanding of text data processing, analytical thinking, and the role of pre-processing in building effective NLP applications.
