MET Institute of Management conducted an Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme on 20th August 2026, with the participation of 100+ students and faculty members. The session was addressed by Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Associate Professor, MET IOM who highlighted the concerns surrounding ragging and bullying and their impact on individuals and society. This was followed by an Anti-Ragging and Anti-Bullying Pledge administered by Dr. Sandeep Chopde, Associate Professor, MET IOM reaffirming the commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus.
The programme also featured a short awareness skit, “Breaking the Cycle of Ragging,” presented by students: Mrumnayee Mayekar, Kaustubh Korpe, Kritika Solanki, Pranali Bamne, Shivam Yadav, and Pooja Chinchodkar. Through a relatable scenario involving a fresher being bullied by seniors, the skit highlighted the importance of intervention, empathy, and speaking up against inappropriate behaviour.
The programme concluded with a strong message that ragging and bullying should never be considered harmless fun, as they can affect a student’s confidence, dignity, and emotional well-being. It reinforced that creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus is a shared responsibility.
