MET Institute of Pharmacy organised a Blood Donation Drive on 22nd October 2026 in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital, encouraging voluntary blood donation and spreading awareness about its life-saving impact.
The initiative brought together students, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and other willing donors to contribute towards a meaningful social cause. With the support of the medical team from Tata Memorial Hospital, the drive was conducted in a safe and well-organised manner. Donors underwent registration and preliminary health check-ups to ensure that the necessary medical precautions were followed throughout the process.
The drive highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation in supporting patients undergoing surgeries, emergency treatments, and other critical medical procedures. It also encouraged individuals to overcome their hesitation and misconceptions about blood donation while recognising the difference a single donation can make in someone's life.
Beyond the act of donating blood, the initiative reinforced the values of compassion, humanity, and social responsibility among the MET fraternity. It served as a reminder that a small act of kindness can bring hope to those in need and contribute to saving precious lives.
