MET Institute of Management conducted an impactful Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Emergency Care Awareness Session on 9th January 2026 in collaboration with Fortis Hospitals, Mulund, as part of Aarohan 2.0.

The session was led by Dr. Manjeet Singh, who emphasized the importance of prompt and informed action during medical emergencies. He conveyed a strong message on community responsibility and preparedness: “It is always an unknown person who helps you in an emergency—learn CPR today.”

Students received hands-on training in essential first-aid and emergency response practices. They learned how to manage convulsions resulting from high fever, handle fractures and potential spinal injuries safely, place unconscious individuals in the recovery position, and differentiate between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest. A detailed CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) demonstration equipped participants with practical skills and the confidence required to intervene effectively until professional medical assistance is available.

The initiative reinforced MET IOM’s commitment to holistic development and socially responsible learning, extending education beyond academic boundaries.
