MET AMDC organized an impactful guest session titled “The Digital Banker” on 28th February 2026, featuring Mustafa Patanwala, Deputy Vice President at HDFC Bank.
The session offered students a comprehensive perspective on India’s financial evolution—from traditional banking frameworks to a technology-driven economy. Patanwala highlighted the transformative impact of the UPI revolution, explaining how seamless digital transactions and fintech innovations are accelerating the nation’s shift toward a cashless ecosystem.
He also elaborated on global trade mechanisms, emphasizing the strategic role of letters of credit in strengthening international banking operations. Addressing the importance of trust and security, he underscored the pivotal role played by the Reserve Bank of India in regulating and safeguarding the country’s digital financial landscape.
