MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) successfully organized an enriching guest lecture on Entrepreneurship as a Career Opportunity for second-year students of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) on 3rd January 2026, with the objective of broadening students’ career perspectives beyond traditional employment pathways. The session was delivered by Mr. Shailesh Sargade, a highly experienced faculty in management education, IIC Convener, mentor to a Smart India Hackathon 2024 winning team, and recipient of the Best Research Paper Award.
At a crucial midpoint in their technical education, students were guided to view entrepreneurship as a viable and impactful career option. Mr. Sargade demystified the start-up ecosystem by highlighting how technical knowledge, when combined with innovation and problem-solving, can lead to successful ventures. He emphasized identifying gaps in the current market, leveraging institutional resources, and taking advantage of initiatives such as Startup India and structured mentoring support available to young innovators.
The interactive nature of the session, coupled with insights from Mr. Sargade’s own professional journey, deeply resonated with the students. His thought-provoking message encouraged a mindset shift—from asking “How do I get a job?” to “How can I create opportunities?”—leaving students motivated to explore entrepreneurship with confidence and purpose.
