MET Institute of Computer Science successfully inaugurated the Faculty Development Program
(FDP) on "Next-Gen Application Development using Low-Code/No-Code Tools" on 20th January
2026.
The Day 1 of FDP, started off with a welcome address by Dr. Omprakash Mandge, I/C Principal, MET
ICS, emphasizing the transformative potential of low-code/no-code platforms in accelerating digital
innovation and empowering educators in rapid app development.
The inaugural session featured Ms. Anupama Gulati, Co-Founder, Low-Code AI Automation Architect,
Woodsoft Technologies, who delved into agentic AI concepts and led hands-on demonstrations
using the n8n low-code/no-code tool. The participants engaged actively, exploring workflow
automation and AI integrations.
MET Institute of Computer Science welcomed Mr. Akshai Venkatramani, Lead Consultant, Princeton
Blue Pvt. Ltd.; as part of FDP on Next-Gen Application Development using Low-Code/No-Code Tools.
Mr. Akshai Venkatramani explored Appian's low-code capabilities, focusing on its drag-and-drop
interface for rapid app building, process automation, and AI integrations like RPA and intelligent
document processing. Participants gained hands-on experience with workflow orchestration and
data unification.
Dr. Omprakash Mandge, I/C Principal led an engaging session. The participants explored no-code
platforms to build interactive rule based and AI based chatbots. The session empowered faculty to
develop educational bots for student engagement and reinforced the FDP's practical focus following
the earlier n8n and Appian workshops.
On Day 2 of Ongoing FDP on ‘Next-Gen Application Development using Low-Code/No-Code Tools’;
MET Institute of Computer Science welcomed Mr. Patrick Solanki, Master Principal Solutions
Engineer, Oracle as a resource person for a hands-on session on building applications using the
Oracle APEX low-code/no-code platform. The FDP participants developed a complete application,
gaining practical experience in rapid development, database integration, and user interface design.
The session enhanced faculty understanding of efficient, enterprise-ready application development
using LCNC tools.
The third session on Day 2 of FDP organised by MET Institute of Computer Science was continued
from Dr. Omprakash Mandge’s Day 1 chatbot development session using Botpress. The participants
further refined their chatbots and successfully deployed them on web platforms and WhatsApp,
gaining hands-on experience in real-world chatbot implementation. The session enhanced
participants’ understanding of conversational AI deployment and practical integration across
multiple digital channels.
The FDP on ‘Next-Gen Application Development using Low-Code/No-Code Tools’ organised by MET
Institute of Computer Science was concluded with the valedictory session.
The participants shared candid feedback on their learning experiences from FDP sessions. This was
followed by a formal vote of thanks and the distribution of certificates to all participants, marking the
successful completion of the programme.
