MET Institute of Management – Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) proudly participated in the IIC Regional Meet 2025, held on 2nd December 2025 at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai, which brought together innovators, academicians, policymakers, and startup ecosystem enablers on a common platform. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha (Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Maharashtra), Dr. T.G. Sitharam (Chairman, AICTE), Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni (Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai), Mr. Kaustubh Dhavse (Chief Advisor to Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra), Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan (Former Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission) and Mr. Umesh Rathod (CII Representative). The meet featured impactful sessions on startup and innovation demonstrations, poster showcases, “Vocal for Local” Udyami Bazaar, best-practice sharing by IIC institutions, mentorship support, Training of Trainers (ToT) for Innovation Ambassadors, and discussions on YUKTI Innovation Pipeline, IPR and TRL/IRL/MRL frameworks.
The event concluded with the felicitation of Best Innovators and Innovation Ambassadors, where MET IOM’s Innovation Ambassador Mr. Shailesh Sargade was honoured as Best Innovation Ambassador, marking a proud milestone for the institution. The Regional Meet served as a powerful platform for cross-institution collaboration, strengthening the entrepreneurial culture in HEIs, and accelerating student-led innovation toward national development.
