MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) welcomed Mr. B. R. Venkatesh, Independent Entrepreneurship Trainer and Mentor and his wife, Ms. Tejaswini Venkatesh for a workshop on the topic ‘How to Develop an Innovation and Entrepreneurial Mindset' on 24th February 2023.

During the workshop, Mr. Venkatesh discussed several relevant issues such as unemployment in India, the significance of job security and the reasons why people often shy away from starting their businesses due to financial risks and lack of confidence. He drew a comparison between having a job and running a business, highlighting that although entrepreneurship comes with financial risk, those who succeed are often financially rewarded.

He also shared his experiences of working with disruptive startups and how they were able to succeed by working on the back end, apart from mainstream work. He showcased a few advertisements that depicted businessmen doing better than employees, with the freedom to make their own decisions.

The workshop concluded with the message that one should follow their passion, regardless of where it lies and be motivated enough to fulfill it.
