On 18th and 19th September 2025, MET Institute of Management’s Institute Innovation Council organized an Internal SIH Hackathon as part of Aarohan – Launchpad 2025 for the newly inducted students of MMS 2025-27. The problem statements were framed in the format prescribed by the Smart India Hackathon, ensuring authenticity and relevance to real-world challenges.

The hackathon unfolded in stages that highlighted creativity, collaboration, and determination. Students worked on real-life problems, explored inclusive solutions aimed at building a barrier-free world, and moved into rapid prototyping, where ideas were refined through testing and feedback to evolve into functional models.

The initiative was further strengthened by the mentorship of MET IOM’s Smart India Hackathon (Software Edition) 2024 winners—Vidisha Ghosh, Manas Jadhav—who guided students with their valuable insights. The jury panel, comprising Dr. Arun Raza, Consultant at MET Incubation Centre, and Mr. Deepak Dubey, provided constructive feedback and evaluated the teams’ solutions on creativity, feasibility, and real-world impact. Mrs. Vishaka Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, also visited the hackathon, encouraged the students, and shared her feedback, further motivating participants.

Overall, the internal hackathon, enriched by mentorship, expert guidance, and institutional support, stood as a shining example of how innovation can empower students to address challenges with empathy, creativity, and excellence.
