MET Asian Management Development Centre (MET AMDC) organized a guest session on Investor Awareness – Financial Literacy for Youth for PGP EMBA students, conducted by Dr. Amanpal Singh Chawla, Executive Director, Skillspade Solutions Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with UTI Mutual Funds.
Dr. Chawla highlighted the significance of cultivating saving habits, making informed financial choices, and maintaining a balance between income, expenses, and investments. The session covered vital topics such as the impact of inflation, household budgeting, the role of health insurance, and long-term investment planning. He also shed light on alternatives to fixed deposits, the benefits of debt mutual funds, and the importance of timely market exits.
The interactive discussion offered practical insights into personal finance and investment strategies, equipping students with stronger decision-making skills. A quiz followed the presentation, with winners receiving prizes. An online test was also conducted, culminating in certifications by NISM and SEBI through UTI Mutual Funds.
