Leaflet-Making Competition on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

MET Institute of Pharmacy organised an institute-level Leaflet-Making Competition on 15 October 2026 on the theme “Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)”, as part of World Pharmacist Day / National Pharmacy Week 2026, celebrated under the theme “Swastha Bharat: Combating Antimicrobial Resistance.”

A total of 18 students participated in the competition, creating informative and creative leaflets highlighting antimicrobial resistance, the rational use of antimicrobials, and the importance of raising awareness about antibiotic resistance. Through their work, students communicated essential scientific information and emphasised the need for responsible antibiotic use to combat the growing challenge of AMR.

The competition was judged by Dr. Sonali Naik, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree); Mrs. Abhilasha Sharma, Lecturer, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma); and Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head, MET Centre of Educational Technology.

The activity provided students with a platform to demonstrate their creativity, strengthen their scientific communication skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the pharmacist’s role in promoting the rational use of antibiotics and creating awareness about antimicrobial resistance.
