At MET Institute of Management, we are committed to preparing future leaders through experiential, industry-integrated learning. During the Ganpati festival, MMS students undertook a 10-day live project with Varun Beverages Limited, gaining hands-on exposure to the dynamic field of marketing.
Through on-ground research and consumer interactions, students examined how emotions, rituals, and choices drive spiritual consumerism and influence brand preferences for PepsiCo products. They analyzed marketing strategies such as product trials, promotional offers, free stock distribution, and large-scale advertising campaigns via hoardings, banners, and activations.
The project also highlighted the economic impact of festivals like Ganpati, which boost sales, intensify competition, create employment, and energize the marketing ecosystem. This experience helped students sharpen their skills in consumer behavior analysis, competitive strategy, and brand positioning - critical competencies for future marketing professionals.
At MET IOM, we take pride in providing immersive industry experiences that integrate cultural insights with business practices, ensuring our students are both academically strong and industry-ready.
