As part of its commitment to nurturing globally competent management professionals, MET Institute of Management organized a Global Immersion Program at INTI International University, Malaysia from May - July 2025. A group of 13 students from MET IOM participated in this immersive academic and cultural experience. They were accompanied by Dr. Nirmala Joshi, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Management.

The program was designed to offer students a comprehensive exposure to international academic systems and global business practices. During the immersion, students engaged in academic sessions across key areas of management, delivered by experienced international faculty. These sessions enhanced their understanding of global markets, organizational strategy, and international business dynamics.

Alongside academic learning, students participated in industry-oriented projects that enabled them to apply theoretical concepts to real-world business scenarios. These projects enhanced their analytical and problem-solving skills while offering practical insights into global trade practices and strategic business operations.

The program also included industry visits and cultural interactions, which allowed students to observe international business environments first hand and engage with professionals across different sectors. These experiences contributed significantly to their appreciation of diverse management practices and sharpened their ability to adapt to cross-cultural settings.

During the immersion, students studied subjects such as Business Accounting and Finance, Business Economics, Global Digital Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, and Management Information Systems. These courses enabled students to build a strong foundation in core management areas while also exploring emerging trends in global business. They gained insights into financial planning and control, economic decision-making, digital business models, strategic thinking, marketing frameworks, and the role of technology in business operations.

The learning experience extended beyond theoretical understanding, encouraging students to apply concepts to real-world scenarios and to think critically about business issues from an international perspective. Interacting with experienced faculty and peers in a multicultural environment further enhanced their ability to collaborate, communicate, and adapt to global business dynamics.

At the conclusion of the program, students were awarded certificates of completion by Dr. Goh Khang Wen, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Global Engagement, International Relations and Collaborations Centre (IRCC), INTI International University, recognizing their successful participation in the Global Immersion Program.
