MET Asian Management Development Centre (MET AMDC) organised a POSH Workshop on 2nd September 2026 to sensitise students towards respectful and appropriate conduct in academic and professional settings. The session was conducted by Dr. Farida Virani, Professor, MET Institute of Management.
The workshop provided students with an understanding of the key provisions of the POSH Act, 2013, while reinforcing the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and respectful environments. Key aspects discussed during the session included consent, personal boundaries, gender sensitivity, and indicators of sexual harassment.
The session incorporated interactive discussions and audio-visual aids, creating an engaging learning experience for the students. Through these discussions, students gained greater awareness of appropriate workplace and academic conduct and the importance of fostering an environment built on dignity and mutual respect.
The session was informative and engaging, and received a positive response from the students.
