Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) celebrated the 77th Indian Republic Day with a deep sense of pride, unity, and reflection, as the campus came alive with patriotic spirit and meaningful expressions of national values.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the Tricolour by Chief Guest Capt. Raghu Raman, followed by Dr. Jitendra Wagh, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, in the presence of Directors, Principals, Heads of Institutes and Departments, faculty, staff, and students. As the National Flag rose, it set the tone for a day rooted in respect for the Constitution and the ideals it represents.
In his address, Chief Guest Capt. Raghu Raman spoke passionately about purpose, resilience, and responsibility, urging students to not only aspire for professional success but also to lead meaningful lives grounded in integrity and service. His words resonated deeply with the audience, offering life lessons that extended far beyond the classroom and inspiring young minds to contribute positively to the nation.
The celebration unfolded through a series of thoughtful and creative performances that reflected MET’s diverse and inclusive campus culture. Students of the MET Institute of Mass Media presented a live movie performance that powerfully conveyed stories of patriotism and social values through cinematic storytelling, leaving a strong emotional impact on the audience.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was the English play performed by the ancillary staff of MRV. Their confident performance stood as a testament to continuous learning and empowerment, made possible through spoken English training sessions conducted by MRV Cares in collaboration with IAYP. The performance received warm appreciation and highlighted MET’s belief that growth and learning are for everyone.
Adding energy and inspiration to the celebrations, MET PGDM students performed a dynamic dance themed around India’s gold medalists and sporting icons, celebrating determination, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. This was followed by a powerful dance performance by MET IOP Diploma students on the theme Operation Sindoor, depicting courage and sacrifice, and a vibrant presentation by MET IOP Degree students titled We Are One – Unity in Diversity, beautifully capturing India’s cultural harmony and collective strength.
The Republic Day celebration at MET was more than a ceremonial event, it was a reflection of shared values, inclusivity, creativity, and national pride. Through inspiring words and expressive performances, the day reaffirmed MET’s commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
