MET Institute of Technology conducted an awareness seminar at SSPM College, Kankavli, on 14 October 2026, led by Mr. Nilesh Shirke, Course Coordinator, MET Institute of Technology. The session focused on the Postgraduate Certificate Programme in Advanced Computing, offered by C-DAC, their relevance to the evolving IT industry, and the career opportunities available to engineering graduates.
The seminar highlighted the growing demand for practical programming skills, with emphasis on Python programming, full-stack development, AI-powered tools, and real-world project implementation. Students were encouraged to strengthen their technical foundations, explore emerging AI technologies, and gain hands-on experience to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
The importance of internships in gaining industry exposure, working on live projects, developing problem-solving abilities, and building a strong technical portfolio was also discussed. Alongside technical expertise, the session emphasized personality development, effective communication, confidence building, and professional grooming as essential skills for career readiness.
The session provided valuable insights into how C-DAC programmes can help students develop industry-relevant skills and prepare for evolving career opportunities in the IT sector.
Special thanks to Mr. Eknath Manjerakar and Mr. Swapnil Kadam, faculty members of SSPM College, Kankavli, for their valuable support and cooperation in making the seminar a success.
The seminar concluded by encouraging students to continuously upgrade their technical and professional skills, embrace AI-driven development practices, and gain practical experience to become industry-ready IT professionals.
