MET Institute of Management organized an insightful session on “Mindful AI Usage During SIP”, delivered by Ms. Shraddha Mhatre, Chief Learning Manager at Siemens on 31st March 2026. The session emphasized the need to strike a balance between efficiency and authentic learning, encapsulated in the key principle: “AI is your intern, and you are the manager.”
The students were introduced to effective prompting techniques, including requesting citations, clearly defining variables, setting contextual parameters such as time zones, and assigning AI an appropriate persona to enhance the relevance and quality of responses. Furthermore, the session outlined three levels of AI usage—Replace, Assist, and Amplify—encouraging students to leverage AI as a tool to augment critical thinking and productivity rather than substitute their own efforts. Overall, the session provided valuable insights into responsible and strategic AI usage in a professional setting.
