MET Institute of Mass Media proudly welcomed its distinguished alumnus, Mr. Abhishek Jain, as a guest speaker during the Induction Week for the Post Graduate Program in Mass Communication and Media Management (PGP MCMM 2025 - 26).
Founder of DG Avatar Media, a pioneering film marketing company established in 2025, Mr. Jain has been instrumental in revolutionising how films are promoted on digital platforms. With over 13 years of experience in the industry, he and his team have crafted successful campaigns for blockbuster titles including RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Pushpa, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Sitare Zameen Par.
In his session on “The New Age of Film Marketing,” Mr. Jain provided a deep dive into the changing dynamics of promoting films in the digital era. He highlighted how DG Avatar Media was among the first to introduce Meme Marketing as a mainstream promotional tool, and how this trend has reshaped audience engagement for Indian cinema.
Sharing his journey from a media student to an industry disruptor, Mr. Jain discussed the importance of data-driven strategies, influencer collaborations, and innovative digital storytelling in building anticipation and driving box office success. He encouraged the students to embrace experimentation, adapt to emerging platforms, and think beyond traditional marketing to create campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
