On 23rd February 2026, the students of MMS Semester II from MET Institute of Management attended NISM Market Fest at the National Institute of Securities Markets, Patalganga Campus, an immersive market-focused academic event designed to enhance practical understanding of India’s financial ecosystem.
The event featured insightful sessions by industry experts Jatin Trivedi and Venkat Chalasani, who discussed key themes such as the global and Indian economic landscape, the transition of Indians from savers to investors, the importance of financial literacy, goal-based investing, mutual funds, and staying protected from financial frauds and unregulated instruments. Students were also introduced to the structure of securities markets, IPO processes, and career opportunities in the capital markets.
As part of the event, a poster-making competition was conducted on the theme “The Financial Landscape”, focusing on the dynamic nature of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, identification of scams and frauds, and consumer protection rights. The students of MET IOM - Sonali Shedge, Devansh Thakkar, Riya Potwar and Shreyas Ahirrao showcased exceptional creativity and understanding of the subject and won the competition, bringing laurels to the institute.
The visit offered a valuable blend of academic learning and real-world market perspectives, reinforcing MET’s commitment to experiential and industry-driven education.
