PGP MCMM students of MET Institute of Mass Media (MET IMM) attended FICCI FRAMES 2026 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, and made the most of the experience.

Ms. Rachana Naik, Ms. Madhura Chothawe, Ms. Manvi Gupta, Ms. Shruti Sadvilkar, Mr. Parth Chitnis, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Mr. Soham Tinaikar and Ms. Aditi Gaikwad represented MET IMM at one of the most important gatherings of India's media and entertainment industry. Dr. Yogesh Dhanjani, Associate Professor at MET IMM, mentored students through the sessions and encouraged them to build meaningful connections within the industry.

This year's theme, India's Media Moment: Creating Value in an Age of Infinite Content, could not have been more relevant for the media students preparing to enter the industry. They heard from leaders across film, streaming, television, sports, gaming and the creator economy, including conversations with Ayushmann Khurrana on the rules of the big screen, Uday Shankar's address on receiving the FICCI FRAMES Lifetime Achievement Award, Ajay Devgn on Drishyam: The Conclusion, and Rajkummar Rao and Dinesh Vijan on the next generation of Indian cinema.

A special highlight was the chance to meet celebrity chef, author and actor Ranveer Brar, who spoke on how India's states and creative traditions can drive the country's creative economy and on building IP that transcends borders.

Sessions on AI and copyright, the rise of microdramas and the future of AVGC-XR further gave the students a close look at where the industry is heading. The takeaway was clear: the biggest conversations in media are no longer only about content. They are about attention, trust, technology and value creation in an age of infinite content. Seeing the business up close and meeting the people behind it is something no classroom can fully replicate.

Our sincere thanks to FICCI and Mr. D. S. Negi for facilitating students' participation, and to Prof.(Dr.)Priya Menon Nair, Director, MET IMM for support and encouragement. We look forward to many more such collaborations between industry and academia.
