On 11th March 2026, MET Incubation Centre, along with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session on “Protecting IPR & IP Management for Startups” by Prof. Sandesh Akre, as part of the IIC Calender Activity.
The session highlighted the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for entrepreneurs and innovators. Prof. Akre explained how startups can safeguard their ideas and innovations through patents, copyrights, and trademarks, and discussed the strategic value of IP protection in gaining competitive advantage and attracting investors.
The session helped students understand the role of IP management in building and sustaining innovative ventures.
